A Zimmer-frame’s on order –
my bones being to creak
but just the thought of Valentine’s
and my heart skips a beat.
My brain cells are diminishing
and concentration – marred,
thinking, what in heaven’s name,
to write inside your card.
I’ve composed a million ditties
till I’m quite pig-sick of rhymes –
professed undying love for you
unfathomable times...
Love’s more than just a sonnet
or a budding, blood-red rose...
it’s us two in the bathtub,
both playing, ‘Hunt the Soap’!

Tina,
Great one for the (I.P.)
This week.
Last stanza word's
it's us two in the bathtub,
Both playing 'Hunt the soap'
made me laugh! As a child always lost the soap!
in a tin bath.
Asteroid all on the news by a Professor
size of football pitch think.
Have a good week-end

Great last stanza, Tina. I
Great last stanza, Tina. I tried soap-on-a-rope, but it kept getting tangled up on the taps.
Cheers

Humorous verse for
Humorous verse for Valentine’s. Just the job, Tina. However, I doubt very much whether you’d ever be stuck for what words to put in a card. But I suppose it’s more of a matter of deciding what to choose from the myriad of lines running through your head. This one made me smile. Happy Valentine’s to you.
