Goodbye kiss

It was with closed lips

The day we kissed goodbye

There was no emotion

Or commotion

On platform five we stood

You were looking at the clock

You were wearing that frock

That I said suited you so well

There were no tears

It was one of those days

That we wished didn’t exist

Above us shone some rays

Through the glass above

But all I could see

Was the ending of our love

I waved as you boarded the train

Biting my lips with the pain

Knowing I would never see you again
