The Light 7

But Jesus' love for us in not just sacrificial love. Although he sacrificed himself so that we could be forgiven of our sins, he was always alive and would always be alive. In other words, he knew that he wasn't going to die, but he would taste the experience of death which he already knew since he was God. Jesus loved us personally as human beings. He was fully human and fully God. But he also spoke of Hell. But there is somewhat of a strange thing about unconditional love. Unconditional love does not bring about obedience. Once a child realizes that her parents will love her no matter what she does, the child begins to rebel. The light of love makes the child afraid of losing whatever amount of Evil she has. For the child instinctively relates freedom with Evil. So we do not just love God, but also fear him.
