I hide my copy of purple rain
Better still destroy it
I wear the flag as an armband
Things are much better now
I lie though my teeth
I have no wish to be re-educated
You can die in those camps
They did nt burn books
People just stopped caring
Better leave off university education
Off my next job application
I am old and university is a thing of the past
I do nt want people to think I have ideas above my station
The old order is gone
People celebrated its passing
I stop using big words
“Evolution is just a theory” I say
The country is better off without certain individuals
Questions are answered on state approved media
X bought out Wikipedia long ago
Comedy what’s that ?
State approved comedy is what I enjoy now
Satire is overrated
I am obedient to the state in all matters
I fit in
I don’t stand out
Those who stand out disappear
No one talks about them
Grief is only displayed at mass rallies
Everyone waves a little flag and weeps at the death of a party official

Reality and Theory
Yes, still, the Big Bang, Evolution of species, Extinction of dinosaurs as was due to a massive meteor impact event, yes indeed, all of it is theories, some good, some weak, each and all believed for gospel by public and expert alike. Even the causes of climate change, as CO2. Even continental drift. Yes, specifically relativity and quantum mechanics too, are theories.
The fact is, none of those are the only possible explanations.

A very frightening vision of our possible future, very '1984'! Somehow it does seem to be getting a lot closer all of a sudden, with Trump and his 'Party' taking power in America, and even the disturbing foreign right wing funding from America into Reform in Britain, like a smaller softer, tamer, repeat of the American debacle!
