Every night, within their nests,
little birds lay down to rest.
Wings, they stretch and beaks, they yawn;
don't wake till the break of dawn.
little birds lay down to rest.
Wings, they stretch and beaks, they yawn;
don't wake till the break of dawn.
Little fish, too, lay their heads
down to rest on river beds;
shut up shell like eyes and sleep
and sink into a dreamland, deep.
down to rest on river beds;
shut up shell like eyes and sleep
and sink into a dreamland, deep.
Beasts of every shape and size
go to sleep and shut their eyes
from when the moon lifts up its horns
till mornings sunlight mane is worn.
go to sleep and shut their eyes
from when the moon lifts up its horns
till mornings sunlight mane is worn.
Even plants and petalled flowers
soundly sleep through starry hours
so little children must as well
surrender to sleep's magic spell.
soundly sleep through starry hours
so little children must as well
surrender to sleep's magic spell.

Very nice, but are you sure
Very nice, but are you sure about the fish?! And, mathematicians and poets are awake when all the world sleeps. Remember Mr.Tambourine man.
