Everyone's discussing
Labour's anti-semitism
and anti-semitism
is a terrible thing.
there is a hate that isn't;
the hatred against arabs
in Labour's right wing.
End Islamophobia
in the Labour party.
Labour friends of Israel
and their white colonial lies.
in the Blairite party.
Hate crimes of the Israeli state;
its time we opened our eyes.
Everyone's condemning
Labour's anti-jewish hatred
and anti-jewish hatred
is something we should end.
mass media fixated
no one reports the hatred
of Israel's Labour Friends.
End Islamophobia
in the Labour party.
Labour friends of Israel
and their white colonial lies.
in the Blairite party.
Hate crimes of the Israeli state,
its time we opened our eyes.
And they silence Jewish voices
that aren't anti-palestine
and ignore the Tory racism
though it happens all the time.

If this offends I aplologise
but sometimes I think the only thing the Israelies learnt from the haulocaust was how to do the same.
I am no lover of Palastinians but the way they are treated is a humanitarian crime backed by the USA.
I consider it an offence to Judaism. Decent Jews should be ashamed of what is done in their name.

Israel is indeed heavy-handed
Israel is indeed heavy-handed towards the Palestinians, Ed, but some might say that's an understandable response to the fact that the Palestinians, along with other Arab nations, have opposed the very existence of Israel right from the start, and were the ones who, in 1948, started the war. They would not accept the Jews ruling a slither of land smaller than Wales, while Arabs control a vast area of land stretching across North Africa which, incidentally, was not orginally theirs but belonged to black Africans. The 1947 UN plan was a very fair one, giving both sides a roughly equal amount of land and designating Jerusalem as an area under international control. But the Arabs never accepted this.
The Palestinians have been attacking Israel from day one, with rockets regularly being fired into Israeli territory. It may be worth considering what the Israelis have to tolerate, before judging the way they treat the Palestinians.

Alfie, I have taken that into consideration
I remember the six day war and and Arafat days of terror. I sympathised with israel in those days.
Everything you said is true and I know the history. However, I think the Arabs have (discount Muslim Persians/Iran of course) have pretty much come to accept the situation and Isreal could recognise this and work it to their advantage.
Israel occupied much of the Palestinian land, but they show no intention of ever giving it back or allowing any form of integration. With hawks like their current leader with the backing of Trump the situation will never be any better. Now even the neutrality of Jerusalem is in danger.
Should the Christian activists start firing rockets at Isreal too?
The Palestinians have suffered enough I reckon it's time to cut them some slack.
Remember the Brits were "heavy handed" in Ireland and look at the mess that created.

"Islamophobia" (the
"Islamophobia" (the irrational dislike of an imperialistic, intolerant, misogynistic, homophobic, medieval brainwashing system) is not the same thing as racism, because Islam is not a race.
Arabs are a race, but not all Arabs are Muslims, and not all Muslims are Arabs.

I didn't know that.
I didn't know that.
It is important to remember that many people in Israel are good people who want peace without killing, too.

yes, I would. There was an
yes, I would. There was an interesting interview on the World Service a while ago, with someone who had written about his experiences doing his compulsory national service in Israel. He spoke about how it felt to be called a traitor by his own people. I think it must be so hard to be a citizen of a country where religion is joined so tightly to politics

A lot of young Israelis
A lot of young Israelis escape from the army and move to anywhere in the world where they can get by. They risk punishment but - well done them!

Without a doubt the Israelis
Without a doubt the Israelis have not been angels. But I just find it hard to feel sorry for the Muslim Arabs in regard to Palestine, bearing in mind how much land Muslim Arabs have taken from other people and still haven't given back. They stole North Africa from the blacks and enslaved black people for centuries. In fact, they're still doing it now. So I don't feel sorry for them for having lost a comparatively tiny area of land called Palestine.
In what way, incidentally, are the Palestinians ethnically or culturally different from the Arabs of, say, Jordan? Or Syria? Or Egypt? Surely they have enough land already?

I didn't say it was morally
I didn't say it was morally right for the Jews to steal Arab land, I just said that I don't care, because Arabs have enough land already. The Jews are Middle Eastern too, and after everything they've suffered throughout history, they deserve a homeland too. And Israel is tiny.
You make an interesting point about Anglo-Saxons. The Welsh could well claim that they, as Celts, lived in England before the Anglo-Saxons. Would I care if the Welsh declared independence and invaded large areas of England? Actually, no. That would be fair enough.

It is very easy to see why
It is very easy to see why Palestinians, and Arabs generally are still angry and cannot forgive Israel for its ethnic cleansing and its continuing colonisation. Israel may have won the wars but they can never truly win the peace with the policies of the recent years.
