Once a man, named Tom, recieved a letter from his girlfriend in the post and, opening it, he started to read it.
But the moment he started reading it, all he could think about were the punctuation mistakes and grammatical errors in it.
Infact seeing the errors made him feel so bad that it was as if something nasty had been spilled all over the paper.
"I've told her a thousand times", said the man correcting the letter with a pen; annoyance in his voice, "Never use an apostrophe in the possessive pronouns whose, ours, yours, his, hers, its, or theirs".
When he had finally finished correcting the letter, however, feeling rather proud of himself for knowing the proper rules, he looked at it again and his heart sank.
"Tom", it said, "I've had enough of you correcting every little thing I do and always finding fault with me. You're not perfect yourself but I over looked all your faults because I thought there was more than that to you but now I'm not so sure.
So I'm dumping you, Tom.
