Solution to “Whodunnit?”

That’s it! I think I’ve worked it out.
I know who dunnit, without a doubt.
Who it was that shot Lady Bloom
and how they entered her locked room.

D’you remember the dumb waiter?
It’s almost like an elevator
and it’s how the cook, Mrs Mitchen
got into the room from her kitchen.

Instead of lunch, she served up lead,
shooting poor Lady Bloom stone dead
then, unlocking a bedroom window,
tossed her gun to Mr Sedge below.

If you will recall, Mr Sedge
planted something beneath a hedge.
Dig up that spot and I’m sure you
will find the gun buried there too.
