Cheep by cheep,
the chirping birds
chip away at my gloom.
And sunlight keeps,
in golden shards,
slipping into my room.
The Spring time is
a faithful friend
trying to cheer me up.
Come out, she says,
your heart, I’ll mend
with bluebells and buttercups.
