Paradigm shift

Looking at the Cathedral sadly
I remember voices singing old hymns,
back when I was in that box labelled 'Christian',
when I was at war with reason and science.
Then the bridge, the paradigm shift.
I don't hate the person I became,
not knowing if I was climbing up or down that ladder,
my discontent of 'God' or 'no god'.
So like a cat I find contentment,
late in the day.
Sleeping. Eating. Scratching.

sadly
its a shame! I too recall the day that the churches were full of people who really believed the right way... and the church wasn't so much at war with reason and science as finding ways to fit it in.... as Darwin eventually did... How much in the box are you if you are just everything in the last line?
maisie Guess what? I'm still alive!
