Drifting
Floating on a crowded ocean
Hacked from the tree of life
Deadwood drifting
Hushed barking
Endlessly decaying
This stagnant stasis
Silent suffering
Stunted growth
Shall Spring no more
No autumn leave
Shall mark the sacrifice
From the dust of dawn
To endless night

I really like the way this poem flows Forest. Did you mean autumn leave, or leaf? I suppose it works either way

I know someone who has made
I know someone who has made some very attractive arworks from collecting cast up driftwood, with beauty in its stark shape, - as in the storm-washed, sand-stormed glass and china pieces Rosa used in her mosaic. Rhiannon
