Well done Luigi - the ghazal
Well done Luigi - the ghazal is such a difficult form.

That looks so complicated!
That looks so complicated! Though I like how it is gentle, polite to read, you have fitted your subject to it perfectly

Is it not the same as singing
Is it not the same as singing for your supper? Paying the host/ess with wit. Also it shows respect and love for language which seems lost to this country - there is virtually no creative writing in the whole Scottish curriculum, it is as though the education ministers are saying while children should be able to write reports on other people's poems and stories, learning how to write their own is either impossible or irrelevent. So I think it's brilliant if it is still a thing to have a time at the end of a meal to weave thoughts and images into a form of poetry that ties you into your history, it's lovely. And you would be top of the guest list every time Luigi:0)

Very interesting Luigi. Yes it must be a very difficult form and I'd say you succeeded. Where did you get the info?
