Fifi And Me
by Paul McCann
I have this old guitar ,
and she’s special to me .
That’s why I gave her a name
and she’s called Fifi .
Fifi and me we wrote some songs
and we played songs .
We went places trying to make
right from the wrongs .
She is much more than just an
old six string guitar ,
she was company for me
in my darkest hour ,
she stood with me and she
always listened to me .
Others listened to both of us .
Me and Fifi .
I feel the music on the frets and
her steel strings .
The music of what happens
is what Fifi brings .
She’s a heart of gold even
though she’s made of wood .
There’s still music in both of us yet .
Life is good .

All old musical instruments
All old musical instruments have their own souls, which are the many tunes and songs played on them; maybe why new ones don't yet feel right. Good poem Paul.
