Above Titley again

A window of dry
– get out up a hill,
squelching the path thick with mud
from the volume of new year rain.
Soon at the top, wide views
and snow on a nearby ridge.
Sky shows approach of another rain front,
but clear for now – enjoy!
Walk back down a lane
– a primrose in bud,
a lone celandine,
banks of snowdrops,
flowering primroses
– early wet dark February:
glimpses of
coming Spring colour.

Your poem definitey shows
Your poem definitey shows spring is on the way Rhiannon.
Love those lines:-
squelching the path thick with mud
from the volumn of new year rain.
It really sums up the amount of rain we've had.
Jenny.

Lovely to see flowers out :0)
Lovely to see flowers out :0) And to think they have been doing their thing through the wind and snow and rain, while we stay indoors if we can. Thank you for sharing your "get out up a hill", much appreciated

I was only thinking just the other day that I'm overdue a virtual ramble with you, Rhiannon.
Wonderfully scenic and perfect for February. You seem very lucky to live where you do.
I look forward to more of these as spring nears.
