BTW did you read my post entry about Lonesome Dove ? I'd appreciate your opinion. I read it on your recommendation and loved it. I deliberated whether to go back and read the prequels, but I decided to read the sequel first as my head is at that point of time now.
I find it amazing to think that I personally knew people who were alive in the 1880's (my great grandparents). And All the Pretty Horses was set in the 1950's when I was born. So these western novels don't seem so far away to me.

Always been a fan of short poems - especially Tanks, Haiku and Cinquains.
Love this one for it's impact - also it's brevity which magnifies it's power.
I've also be a fan of yours HarryC for a long time now - great to read more.
