Arrival in Newphonia

Today I bought an Android, it's taken me a while,
learning how it operates, makes me want to smile.
I've set up all the apps and things, I really feel connected,
my phonophobia's disappeared, just as I suspected.
I've reached the Twenty Twenties, its really taken long,
my diving into gadgetry, and futuristic song.
Spotify downloading of psychedelic choirs,
Hawkwind and Jane Weaver, their music- it inspires,
The screen lights up and then lights down, I wonder if it sleeps,
perhaps as in the sci-fi book, it dreams of electric sheep.
So I smugly sit here , with laptop and two phones,
my unrealistic profile pic taken by my twin drones.

I wish your Android many
I wish your Android many sweet dreams of electric sheep. Mine, I think, dreams of vengeance for my refusal to use it to pay for anything. It thinks I don't trust it. And it's right.
