Whit went wrang wae auld age?

Forget the good years we accrue

Nor the bones of it

Punchdrunk minds not renewed

But that triple-lock of entitlement

That braying grievence —  

Snow was whiter then

And the world should stay true

But no for the likes of you.

No matter how we face up to the world it seems to leave us punchdrunk these days. It's only the people who weren't around then that will tell us that were wrong to say things were better then. And they were.

In some ways they were better. In some ways worse. We seem to have swallowed a collective pill that allows us to forget how rotten-to-the core so many folk are, especially our politicians. I'm talking Trump here with his over a $1 billion looting of public finances. Farage and his little £5 milllion isn't even on the map. Even the honest crook, who stole around £500 000, Sturgeon's man, seems tiny in comparson. We don't even see the larceny, the genocidial mindset.

"triple-lock of entitlement" yes. Someone on the radio said, that's why they made pension age later and later, in order to keep being able to pay so much. But not so good for those who don't get so far, or are not well, to enjoy it.

I guess Di, i'ts not just the UK. France and Russia tried the same thing. Well, France from a low rate. You can retire at 15 in France. As always, I'm fair to midling. Thanks for asking. Hope you're good too.

Under constant review but politicians scared of the grey backlash. In the meantime, younger generations get screwed over. Someone needs to sort it.

In the meantime, Donald J Trump threatening to cancel the World Cup over a red card given to a US player. Just when you thought he couldn't be any madder....
