Beyond Innocence

By Richard L. Provencher

Thu, 14 Mar 2013
  • 639 reads

We climbed a tree
to see – to see
a worldly view
from the hilly side
of town and we saw:

woodpeckers
jays and hawks
flying about –

and we saw people
a lake with boats
houses so high they

reached the sky.

We saw ourselves
as grown up
with adult views.
