1992 was an eventful year.
Some events too distressing
for many personages to hear.
For the royal family, of course,
domestic circumstances went,
regretfully, from bad to worse.
They were what the late Queen
described as an Annus Horribilis,
the most disturbing she'd seen.
They found themselves in a mire
when Windsor Castle was ravaged
after a curtain rapidly caught fire.
On the contrary, things were good
for women to be finally allowed
to join a patriarchal priesthood
Although it was most uncommon
Betty Boothroyd was the female
Speaker of the House of Commons.
A new treaty was signed in Maastricht
by the then Prime Minister John Major
but the rules were thought too strict.
In a general election the British voted.
Black Wednesday ruined the economy.
We left ERM and the pound was floated.
The Lost Gardens of Heligan's discovery
a couple of years before, met with joy,
led to ground restoration and recovery.
This is a summary of what happened here
in 1992, an interesting and eventful year.

Nice IP response Luigi, thank you! I hope you enjoyed the random year generator? I'd never seen such a thing before but thought it looked quite useful
