The Creature In A Bottle

There’s  a bottle on the shelf where a little creature lives  

and sometimes I take a swallow and what a kick it gives .
There’s a few more bottles there some are green and some are blue,  

some are mine and some are not , some are old and some are new .
I’m looking at the bottles there, lined up in a  row ,

if you asked me how long they’ve  been there , I’d say , I don’t know.

Some have always been there then there’s the one I bought myself .

I like a drop of the creature, that sits upon the shelf .
