The river looks beautiful tonight:
Flat, vitreous, unhurried.
Ripples burst, swell and fade,
Passing under new-laden willow.
When the time comes, as it must,
May it be an evening such as this.

Outside by our river last night it was also calm balmy and so relaxing. I woke up to clouds and wind for the few next days. (hence the silly poem)

Beautiful, concise poem! I hope the same situation wished for at conclusion is a long way off. I have a river walk too, colder times yes, otherwise midges and mosquitoes unless covered in stinking jungle oil!
