"Perception"

We may live on the same street
Perhaps in the same building
But I will see events
Through a prism
Created
By my experiences
I’ll interpret facts
As truth
And you will conclude
An entirely different
Scenario
Even as we stand together
Viewing the same happening
The paths we’ve traveled
The lessons from parents
Grandparents
Teachers
And peers
Will intervene
And
What we see
What we believe to be true
Is intrinsic
Though physically
We’re sharing one world
We are actually
Billions
Upon billions
Of individual perceptions
Tiny human bubbles
Of self righteous thought
Existing in dimensions
Entirely our own

I like this Penny, and I
I like this Penny, and I think that is so true that we are each viewing the world through our own prisms of experience. Prisms is such a good way of framing it. I like the way too that you take this from the individual to all the billions of us in our bubbles. Rachel :)

Hi Penny,
Hi Penny,
I like how you explain the fact that we humans are all individual, drawn to some kindred spirits that have a deep impact on our lives. The prism is a very clever idea too, it's what makes the world go round and shines on us all differently.
Nice way of looking at life.
Jenny.

Hello Penny
This could actually be prose if you threw in some punctuation, but it works as poetry too. I like the idea behind it.
