(Munith - [hard ’th’] Troeed), Black Mountains
Open access hillside – mind
it isn’t easy ways to find
through the swathes of bracken cladding
– will we find a channel mown,
not yet wholly overgrown?
boggy gullies aren’t inviting,
bilberry tussocks deep can trip,
careless trudging foot can slip,
grassy slope is very steep –
easier now to crawl and creep,
find at last the pathway-stair…
soon atop the ridge, see where
the lake lies on the other side,
and tower above views far and wide.
