Shimmering through the corridors,
the maiden moves frigidly into the great hall,
In her hand, she holds a sword,
its hilt diamond encrusted with rubies.
Stalactites hang from the great entablature,
the great columns stand,
like frozen giant guards,
that rise into the night sky,
as the maiden makes ready for battle.

Hi there, Jennifer. I like this very much;-)
Just one tiny typo, fourth line. Should be 'its' without the apostrophe.
Love your choice of vocabulary, especially:-
"Stalactites hang from the great entablature,
the great columns stand,
like frozen giant guards..."
Great stuff!
