Shuffling on ant-like feet
Running through
Sluggishly indifferent thoughts
Just anaemic reality
The soft teardrops
Of familiarity
flowing but
Unable to dampen the fear
Only to evaporate
Where there are no highs
Only past songs
To a dissonant melody
Coping with empty ways
Thoroughfares of the heart
One-way streets
Bloodless pallid ghosts
left to rule
Living from day to day

A bleak and atmospheric feel to this one, Pia. Strangely haunting.

Hi Pia,
like Tina said 'very haunting' I like the idea of
shuffling along on ant-like feet
Running through
Sluggishly indifferent thoughts
It's some what, how I imagine a spirit would think.

Hi! Pia I can feel spirit or sadness in this poem.
The soft teardrops
Of familiarity but
Unable to dampen to fear.
So true! I can feel something very deep to this?
