I could not face the 3-way 'Equivoque' once again so here is a simple version based on the same technique.
By reading the odd lines only we get the opposite meaning to the one suggested by the whole poem.
Dear Sir, today we got
your novel and we don’t think it is
an unsolicited manuscript,
on the contrary we welcome it a lot.
We can see right away
if someone sends us something
that it is a lot of rubbish
but yours has made our day.
We must make it clear:
if we find any chaff,
we have reason to bin it.
Yet, you needn’t fear.
I am sure that you’ll be
a long lasting author and not
a five-minute wonder
as many are, believe me.
Our unbiased advice
to those who have no talent
is to give it all up
and we never tell lies.

Yes, Luigi this is a good one
Yes, Luigi this is a good one! Why is our language capable of equivogues? Why have they been around for centuries? They appeal to my sense of excitable wonder when things fly in all directions and also make sense. (Wild rock music does this for me too and also songs where there is a driving rhythm on guitar and hard-hitting lyrics) Elsie
