Praise Poem for My Aunt 1955 - 2022
My Aunt, Janet Browne, walked in elegance and grace;
Slowly, and peacefully, like a beautiful giraffe.
She showed her inner strength like a cheetah
As she fought the throws of cancer, to find her own victory.
She is a wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and sister,
With the wisdom of an owl to keep her family strong.
Like a flowing river she generously gave her all,
To family and friends, asking for nothing in return,
Just like the water, cascading down a waterfall;
Breathtaking beauty by being a beautiful soul.
The blues and lavenders of the water at dusk,
Create peace, like my aunt’s life and wonderful chats
Over a cup of tea, sugared with blessings of love,
The heart of a family. My Aunt lived in victory.

My Good Aunt
Our godmother is also such a wonderful woman. She has not once forgotten our birthdays, my father also liked her a lot that already says much, to him no man was ever good enough for her. And I also have good reason to.
My late mother also was of this nature, she made us the only heirs, undeserved. I do have to admit I never had appreciated her enough. It's too late now. This aunt is very well loved, she was not so young married she took us on often on outings as kids, the zoo, museum movies and all kinds.
But there has been great unpleasantness lately, unfortunately sometimes you cannot make exceptions and single people out you have to treat everyone equally, to protect them, also yourself. People will try to take advantage. Like recently. So be it.
She is always welcome here I trust her completely. Her husband also I've always liked him a lot, he is a good man and he knows a lot about all kinds of things especially about nature.
An African praise song is usually used as an elegy if I am not mistaken, fortunately mine is still alive and well! Are you African! I am!!
Much love! Tom
