Around The Havens

The sea is vast.
Wave crests rush in,
breaking in white cascade.
Invigorating salty sea-air blast.
Summer’s end, and sand uncluttered
save wrapped-up strollers, and excited dogs,
and later hardy surfers hiking down
to lowtide heaving waves.

Hi Rhiannon,
Hi Rhiannon,
just love the sea and miss it so much, but your poem took me there, especially with the beautiful wildness of that photo.
Thank you for sharing.
Jenny.

"The sea is vast.
"The sea is vast.
Wave crests rush in,"
A scene set so evocatively and then the rest of the poem rolls in like a picturebook tide. Beautiful photo too. Lovely work, Rhiannon. Paul

Beautiful! I didn't know
Beautiful! I didn't know you had such surf and sun in England, I don't quite understand the geography there.
They are predicting countrywide storms and flooding we must brace ourselves.
Keep well! Tom
