Net Zero

For a long time we have heard
this message loud and clear:
wake up before it's too late,
the end of the world is near.
Eminent scientists spoke up,
warned us of melting icecaps,
that the whole ecosystem was
in danger of eventual collapse.
Fossil fuels polluted the air
and yet mankind stood passive;
the amount of greenhouse gas
grew and became massive.
Then wise men got together
and decided that their mission
was to use renewable energy
to reduce carbon emission.
Our government committed
to achieve net zero by 2050
with the chance of success
expected to be only fifty-fifty.
The leader of energy security
is a gentleman named Ed
who I assume was selected
for his genuine street cred.
I wonder how many people
are perturbed having read
that net zero won't happen
until after they are dead.

There's a lot of "smokescreen"
There's a lot of "smokescreen" on this business and fossil fuels and green energy. Most stories are nonsense you can't believe any of it. Really these stories are blatanly obviously delibirate hoodwinking.if you do think about it. Indeed, "the end is near".
Same as sending human's to Mars and back we must be a century behind ths, smokescreen. But there will be a moon colony in a decade twenty years max. Ineviteble.
Keep well, keep your head low. Cheers! Tom

Well Done, Luigi!
Well Done, Luigi!
Your title made me think, too, of how, if we don't sort this, soon the seas will be empty of all life so net zero will be all that fishing boats bring in

The Last Days!
Such are the times we are living. These are the days of our lives. And sometimes we all need to be reminded, as we all stand passively by.
