Life on the ledge

Seabird lays eggs on a ledge
– far from predators
– a good place to lodge?
One, misshapen rolls over the edge
the other rolls safely, ’til hatched,
but the shelf gets crowded,
will he be nudged
or safe on his ledge til fully fledged?
[IP: on a ledge]

A great many people live
A great many people live with their parents these days but it is not so easy, it is not easy to start a family these days and look after them it's harder than it was I think.
Others actually "re-buy" their parent's house to me that make most sense. You would actually be lucky to have income so that you can look after your own family, and those who do often don't want to and pursue a professional career.
Yes- and it is often very convenient and comfortable to still stay with your parents- if you are in a position let's face it.
All the best! Tom

That's an evoactive, highly visual poem.
I have been watching a nest with baby seagulls in it for a while. Two birds eventually fledged. Sadly, I understand that one of them fell victim to crows but the other one has been learning to fly on a rooftop close by. Its parents sit on my garage roof a lot of the time. I watch them chatter to each other. It's entrancing.'
