You stirred my emotions with this poem Rhiannon. I just love the harp with it's relaxing sound. In fact you've inspired me to listen to some harp music while I have a lunch break.

Thank you, Jenny. I enjoyed writing this out in the middle of the night! At first I was thinking of the violing again, but then I thought of the harp. As with you, I do love its sound. Rhiannon

The harp is beuatiful I like panflute also, like a really grand date, an anniversary leaving the kids with parents and that, to re-discover true romance!

The story where King Saul threw David with his spear just as he was bending down also always stirring,

(The shortest cowboy joke, the elegy "Played five aces, now playing harp").

Thenk you, Tom. I don't think I know panflute music. Must listen in! Many instruments crafted well, and played with skill and love and a desire to soothe or thrill can be very beautiful and do good! Rhiannon (of course, David was saved from Saul's bitterness! He usually found David's harp-playing soothing when tormented.)

Both Saul and David in today's time would probably qualify for diagnosis of a bipolar mood disorder. Fortunately we have medicines now.

And yes, music soothes the savage breast.

I don't think that is so for David. He records his anguish in the Psalms, but that seems very natural and honest for us to realise the trials he too had and how he struggled with the Lord to lift him and strengthen his faith and patience and help in the very difficult situations. Rhiannon

True. Thank you. i do remember a blind lady in church one day saying how she liked the harp music being used. It was actually a guitar, but was being played properly, not just strummed, and not electric! Rhiannon

We must wait to see what heaven is fully like! But yes, I suppose the imagery shows that harp-music would fit it well, and the praise of God. Classic guitar played well is also very pleasant. Rhiannon
