Frankenplot: The Hacker

Once upon a tablet smeary, while I swiped left weak and weary, 
over many a page never seen before -
while I nodded, barely reading, suddenly there came a keening,
as of someone intervening, meaning to enter through a back door, 
“It’s just some hacker,” I muttered “trying their luck at my back door - 
       Only this and nothing more”

Ah, I was newly sober in the wet October, 
no longer I a perv disrober, behind a twice-locked bedroom door,
if only it were tomorrow; - vainly I had sought to borrow
from Tinder traps surcease of sorrow – sorrow for the lost Lenore 
for the rare and radiant raver whom Only Fans still name Lenore -
        Nameless here for evermore.

The clicking, crude uncertain beeping of each keyboard stroke
Thrilled me – filled me with fantastic feelings never felt before;
So that now, to still the beating of my heart, I kept repeating
“It’s just a hacker affecting entry to my 'net back door,
some persistent nerd affecting entry to my 'net back door.
         That it is and nothing more.

Deep into the dark-web peering, long I sat there, wondering, fearing,
doubting, dreaming dreams no net-geek ever dared to dream before,
but the silence was unbroken and the keyboard gave no token,
and the only word on screen written was in comic sans “Lenore”
This I tip-tapped adding a query, to which came answer the word, “Lenore!”
        Merely this and nothing more. 

The screen lit up in lurid green, as vile a thing as ever seen, 
- as though my beloved's selfie had never been -
in comic sans in vibrant pink, one word and not one more, 
nothing further came in typeface, nothing more from silent cyberspace,
‘til I saw only my own face scowling, crying loud as never before,
       and then the screen read “Nevermore.”
