Borrowed time

Let go of the week
Let go of the work
And find yourself alone
Free of judgement
An epiphany of reflection
Mostly self-serving deflections
Letting go of the glow of self
Shallow pools, which you’re full
Don’t let your life dim
With talk of eternity
Time loses all meaning
That’s your freedom to fuck-up
Why me, you ask?
Why not, me?

Freedom
You could spend an eternity talking about eternity only to discover that you're excluded from it.
Free your mind and the rest will follow.

"An epiphany of reflection" -
"An epiphany of reflection" - I really like this line. I get exactly what you mean about making the most of time and don't end up full of regret by wasting it. Very nicely done and well said, CM
['Mostly self-serving deflections' - I thought this might be a reference to McGinn's goal v Haiti until I read the rest]

I wish you wrote more poetry.
I wish you wrote more poetry. I love this, the beauty found when the tide goes out in the afternoon in Summer, and there's so much light. Memories like looking into rock pools. Forget reflection and see light .
As Airy says, please don't let anything dim
