Sick and tired, cold and wet,
poor and hungry, feared and other,
lost and beaten, old and weak,
young and helpless, wife and mother.
Slave and migrant, mazed and lost,
loathed and unwanted, shy and befuddled,
thief and doctor, sinner and saint,
lone and abandoned, massed and huddled.

This is such a clever idea - simple, but makes a big impact. It's our Facebook and Twitter Pick of the Day.

I'd never heard of this
I'd never heard of this before, and this poem is beautifully done. The rhythm is perfect for the subject matter. The collective banging of all our heads against the walls.
