Mytten Dingle, north Stiperstones

Shropshire7 April
Looming sides,
but wide enough to let the sunny warm day in.
peaceful.
At the end a memorial plaque to five wartime airmen
who died when their bomber crashed into these hills.
War shatters peace;
but sometimes rescues peace and ends injustice
Returned on the other bank of the dingle,
and eventually found the way down.
Later drove round to the south side of the hills
to see again the rocky outcrops on the ridge.
where we’ve walked a number of times in the past.

nature trail opened
They said on the radio there is a new nature hiking trial in the UK, the King Charles III trail it goes right all around the coast altogether 3000km, and parts through Scotland and Wales as well.
It is the longest nature route anywhere in the world.
Sounds fantastic! Wish I was younger although I don think there's much rugged terrain.
Keep well Rhiannon!! Tom

peaceful.
your middle line long, like the looming, and peaceful alone, like it was surrounded by the silence of no words

I love the wildness of the rocky outcrops on the ridge that you describe. This is a place of untamed natural beauty that shines through in your poem Rhiannon.
The piece of history about the bomber that crashed was interesting too...though must have been so sad for the loved ones left behind.
Jenny.

Another highly enjoyable ramble with some philosophical thoughts.
Gorgeous photos.
Nicely done, Rhiannon.
