Praise Poem for My Aunt 1955 - 2022

My Aunt, Janet Browne, walked in elegance and grace;

Slowly, and peacefully, like a beautiful giraffe.

She showed her inner strength like a cheetah

As she fought the throws of cancer, to find her own victory.

She is a wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and sister,

With the wisdom of an owl to keep her family strong.

Like a flowing river she generously gave her all,

To family and friends, asking for nothing in return,

Just like the water, cascading down a waterfall;

Breathtaking beauty by being a beautiful soul.

The blues and lavenders of the water at dusk,

Create peace, like my aunt’s life and wonderful chats

Over a cup of tea, sugared with blessings of love,

The heart of a family. My Aunt lived in victory.
