The shoreline in autumn

The waves peter out over the pebbles
The early evening light is fading
gulls circle
Stillness in the clouds filled autumn skies
Like a turner painting in a gallery were the lights are about to be switched off
Figures recede like ants into the distance
A light flickers on above the sign at a local pub along the shore line
All is silent but the low hum of the wind
Somewhere in the village boots are been kicked off
The coal fire is burning gently
the kettle is on the stove about to boil

You have captured those tints
You have captured those tints and hues of sea and sky on the shore. I enjoyed that being brought back to mind. And the warming contrast of home! Rhiannon
