Encounters attained are all different,

Thoughts upon this day swiftly alter;

Linking to what lies beyond.

 

Flickers ephemeral – never repetitive,

Keeps the poet contained In wonder...

Like morning billows concealing

Blink of sun's rays, then suddenly

Disbanding,

 

I too experience revelation like clouds

Swiftly alter, floating; no longer huddled,

Catching fleeting glimpses of other worlds

Wrapped in warmth...soothing this poet's

Mind.

 

Pools that drift in bursts of gleaming

Light as breath flows, essence thoughtful,

Reflecting ripples of intuition that surface

And soar...awakening the poet in me.

I couldn't resist the I P this week Rhiannon, though it took a while to put this poem together, it was while watching the clouds that gave me the idea, thinking about how the sun hides behind the clouds, then imagining my imagination being cloudy, but then clearing to bring together the words.

 "Morning billows concealing / Blink of sun's rays, then suddenly / Disbanding" I think captures perfectly the blink-and-you'll-miss-it nature of inspiration. I wonder how many great ideas pass us by just because we are not paying attention?
