    The colours, the contours,
They’re all real
I feel them pass
Through these nooks and crannies
As they swirl and judder
Fixing me with the sensation,
Flowing like molten lava
Down into an ocean
As blue as my eyes can see
As radiant as the honesty of it all

As expected, another excellent poem, Pia. Such graceful, thought provoking, senses invoking writing. 'judders' - very nice. The last line is the real triumph: an off-hand statement that is so simple yet so telling, no magniloquence needed to get the beautiful point across.
Very well done.

A great little poem, Highhat. The colours are radiant and invite you into their ensemble, and allow you to accept the speed at which you wish to accelerate. Remember, some critics have a penchant for chop-chop, and if you listen too closely re suggested changes, all that may be left is the gristle. You are a very good writer---keep it up. Richard ps. Remember, you are the captain of your ship, author forgotten, perhaps it was John Masefield.

Wonderful line, Pia. And I love the word 'judder' I honestly never heard it before. Thanks for the introduction.
And so sorry I haven't been around in a while. Life has a way of getting in the way of all the fun things.

Hello again, Pia. I had the words and author wrong in my last response to your lovely poem---The Colour of Truth. It was William Ernest Henley, who wrote these last two lines in his wonderful poem---Invictus:
I am the master of my fate
I am the captain of my soul.
Google it up, very well written.

Fixing me with the sensation...such a great line.
It describes that moment of stunned awe, when faced with something that strikes the chord where taking it in feeds our souls.
The cherries are well deserved, congrats.
