Autumn Leaves Must Fall

Watch tremble of
Autumn leaves a
carnival of colour,
feeding, nourishing;
a rich buffet
replenishing roots,
wind takes
the blessings
of the tree,
sends them
on a carousel
of celebration,
swirling in a
wild frenzy,
seizing moments.
I'm enchanted
by their
carefree release,
not affected
by tomorrow,
just celebrating,
even if
for just
a while.

A very lyrical representation
A very lyrical representation of the changing nature of the autumn foliage, Jenny, Some nice lines, 'on a carousel of celebration' being my favourite. Well done.

Hi Jenny, it's me again. Just to say that although I enjoyed your poem very much, if you can reduce the spaces between lines perhaps it would have more effect. Only a suggestion.

I think this is really lovely
I think this is really lovely. Both the descriptions of nature and also the sentiments, just celebrating. If only we could all do that knowing that decay lies ahead. Neat little stanzas too.

Autumn Leaves Must Fall
Hi Jennifer - I like this. Autumn really is a fantastic season. Rounding off the summer just gone in a blaze of glorious colour while supplying a blanket for winter and nourishment for next spring. Great.

I like all the stanzas being leaf sized. An although still on the screen, each contains images of movement "carnival of colour" "carousel of celebration" "carefree...release" "celebration" And the last three lines have a stillness about them like a graceful landing leaf

Love the carousel of celebration...
... those moments where we can be as free as leaves in the wind ... what utter pleasure!
Have a blessed weekend $

'wind takes the blessings of the tree' is spot on. Some people just see falling leafs but you've made it into a special event.
