Bee Muse

Instinctively every once in a while
through perpetuation, reminders
echo of people I've admired; nectar
of chive flowers, companion to other
herbs.
Familiar visitors are welcome to
ponder, enjoying sense of being
immersed, lost in sweet adoration;
adrift on capabilities like the skilled
artistry of writers with their nimble
fingers,
who like busy bees cannot rest as
time elapses...those silent voices
set words on sheets of paper that
unravel with promise of the muse.
Photo is my own, which is what
inspired me to write this poem
in memory of the late Bee.

A beautiful photo with a poem to. match - thank you Jenny, and for the memory of a wonderful, much missed person
Her work stays on our front page as a reminder of her talent and the generosity she always showed other ABCTalers

I love the idea of companion
I love the idea of companion flowers being like a writer reading another writer's words! Finding comfort, reassurance, inspiration, just as companion plants give strength. And also how bees seem to browse through flowers as we do through pages, and all with your lovely way with words!
I do hope very much that you get a quick appointment for a new hip, on Wednesday, so sorry you are very sore. I admire so much how you create these wonderful works when feeling such pain, you are a True Poet, who "cannot rest"

the skilled artistry of
the skilled artistry of writers with their nimble fingers,
That phrase amused and intrigued me a little: I thought, isn't it the nimble mind that is sorting out what to write, but then I realised the thoughts must be caught by the fingerwork on paper or keyboard, while in the mind, and then maybe much altering and changing! The bee's industry can be inspiring to all sorts of perseveance, but nice to remember Bee's kind responses in reading others' work. Rhiannon

One of my great pleasures in life is watching bees doing their dance of pollination especially amongst the lavender bushes in my front and back gardens. I could watch them for hours.
I wasn't active at the time of the member you are referencing but I have read some of her work. I guess that's the beauty of writing sometimes - it stands as a monument and memory for those no longer with us.

My brother said
My brother said just now the flies are back, a bit early it't's not even proper spring yet. If you ask me were in for very warm weather. Hope for rain though. For me the flies may be better I'm allergic to bee sting, it can make one very sick.
Apparantly these stories of African killer bees invading other countries is a haux it's nonscens. Come to think of it ai've notied ther are much fewer bees around these days. Wonder why?
I agree on the cherries Je!nny & Nolan

I love this well written poem
I love this well written poem and the great image of a single bee (An insect which I adore!) as one writer within a "swarm" of writers appreciating each others creations. Will the honey be flowing?
Hope you are well, my friend,I can cal, you that as we have "known" each other now for some time...
